I am sorry for this long absence! The week before last, I was feeling a little bit under the weather but just couldn’t shake it. This last week, I really started feeling bad but couldn’t take any sick time due to the fact that one of my coworkers was out for spring break. I was doing her job and mine so couldn’t afford to take that time off. It was all I could do to finish all the work and get dinner ready before just laying around. Needless to say blogging was the last thing on my mind. I finally went to the doctor on Thursday and have a sinus infection. Now that I have drugs, I am much happier and will hopefully get back on the blogging bandwagon.
Life
We had always wanted a Nikon D7000 16.2MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR with 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED Nikkor Lens
,but since we had never  owned a DSLR camera before, it was way too much money to spend on a camera. We had also heard of a lot of people buying DSLR cameras, and then not really using them to get their monies worth out of them. So, we decided to get a camera we could afford, and make sure we used it enough to make an upgrade worth it later. So, we randomly kept our eyes open for a Nikon D7000 16.2MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR with 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED Nikkor Lens
so if there was a good enough deal we could jump on it.
A while back, I made a ton of burp cloths for the various baby showers that I attended. The tutorial can be found here. I finally have run out, so, it was time to replenish my stock. I learned a few things to make the whole process go faster. It is sad that it took me so long, but sometimes I like repetitious work over the problems solving work. Below you can see what differences that I figured out to speed out the process.
Lately life has been a little crazy, we have spent a few weekends in Nashville to see Kira and Andrew and to make a Craigslist purchase which I will blog about next. We are still visiting Churches which can get a little bit old after a while so I hope we decide on a place soon so we can try and start integrating as much as possible. We finally got all of our insurance stuff switched over. We loved our agent in Austin, TX since we knew Brent personally. He was kinda enough to call and talk to a few agents here in Huntsville and tell us which to avoid. We ended up choosing one that we are very happy with and are getting more coverage than in Austin for cheaper than we were paying there so we can’t  complain. So finally everything is up to date since our move which is very exciting!
This is a kinda nerdy post coming from me, but Grant is great at selling things to me as in good ideas. He put the idea in my head a while ago to add a Solid State Harddrive into my iMac. You can buy Apple computers with SSDs already in them, but the price is a TON higher and since I got my iMac used I got it as is. So, with the money my parents gave me and the money that I got from Grant,  I bought  myself a SSD and a kit with the correct screwdrivers, etc.
I didn’t mean there to be such a long silence here on the blog, but I just kept putting off posting. Hopefully, I will be motivated  more in the future to post. Life has been wonderful lately; Grant and I both love our jobs, we are so glad to get back into a routine since the crazy holidays, and our diet is going pretty well.
