Dime Box Fun

by Jessica November 19, 2011

These pictures are kind of old,but I still wanted to post them. My cousin Simon and his wife Sarah stayed at my parent’s property working right after they got married. We were finally able to visit them one of the weekends. Here are some pictures from there and some at a later time.

Burp Cloth Tutorial

by Jessica November 6, 2011

I am sorry for the long absence!  I have been really busy working on lots and lots of things, but most of them I can’t share. I have been slowly working on Christmas gifts, and I am about 90% done with the gifts so far. I am going to start wrapping the gifts soon too. There have also been TONS of baby showers or people having kids so now that I have given out all of these gifts, I can show these at least! Here is my Burp Cloth Tutorial!

Jalapeno Poppers

by Jessica October 8, 2011

I helped organize a luncheon that had a fiesta theme; at this luncheon we used jalapeños and hatch peppers as decoration on the tables. Once this was over we had over 25 pounds of peppers left. So I gave as many away, but Grant and I still ended up with a pound or two, so this is what I made with them. Grant loved it. It isn’t a hard recipe, but it lots of prep work so set aside at least 30 minutes for it. It is so worth the effort though!

by Jessica October 6, 2011

Creamy Tortellini is a staple recipe in my family even when I was growing up. I have never really met anyone who didn’t like it; I have met a few people who can’t do dairy, and that might make this a problem. This is a very quick and easy dish to make that takes about 20 mins. for prep time.

Ashley’s Baby Shower

by Jessica October 5, 2011

I was finally able to help host my first baby shower. I was wanting to help host one sooner, but so many people had already volunteered that there was never room until now. I was able to help host Ashley’s Baby shower who just had her baby Ruby! I had a great group of girls that I was working with, and most of them had already hosted a shower so it was nice to hear what had and hadn’t worked before at a shower. We got our inspiration from here. Our theme was Bubbles or Pop, and so we incorporated as much as possible in the signs, food types, and decor. Some of us baked, some bought items, some made decor, and some made signs.

Organizing my night stand

by Jessica September 19, 2011

I was wanting to organize my bedside table, and below are my attempts at it. I had a saucer from a mug that I never used. Well, I used the mug just not the saucer. I also had some felt that I decided to use. I just wanted an organizer that could corral my phone and daily jewelry so that it was within reach.
