Grapefruit

by Jessica April 1, 2013

One of my favorite fruits is grapefruit, my nieces in Austin also like it a lot, so today, while I was eating some and cheating on our diet, I was thinking about them and how people have funny habits. For some reason, I have always liked ketchup, sour things(very sour lemonade, etc.), tangy(certain BBQ sauces and vinegar), and bitter things like grapefruit. I don’t know if those likes are because of how I was raised or just simply what I gravitated towards naturally. Who knows.

Happy Easter!

by Jessica March 31, 2013

Happy Easter from the us! I couldn’t stop thinking about the last few years that we spent with my nieces while they looked for eggs. It is times like these when I miss them a lot. I was also happy that we don’t have kids because today it poured ALL DAY so it would have been very disappointing for a child. Well, I guess knowing us, we still would have hidden eggs outside in the rain and still made a day out of it, but sunny weather is nicer for egg hunting.

Awesome Keto Casserole

by Jessica March 19, 2013

Grant and I are still eating the Keto diet and liking it a lot. Two weekends ago we had friends come into town from Austin, and we met them for lunch. We don’t want to inconvenience people with our diet, so we had decided to eat carbs before we got there. We both at chips, salsa, and fajitas. They tasted good, but afterwards we both felt horrible. All we wanted to do was sleep and were so lethargic. Having a reaction like that, makes us want to stay off of carbs permanently. I don’t think we will for the rest of our lives, but it is nice to not be sleepy after eating, and it is very nice feeling full and not wanting to snack all the time. Anyway, below is another dish that we tried that is super yummy and is great reheated.

Eclipse debugger taking a long time to startup?

by gswarfield March 18, 2013

If you have been having trouble with the debugger in eclipse taking forever to start, well I finally figured out what the cause of the problem was.  BREAKPOINTS!  I use so many breakpoint, but I usually just unchecked them when I didn’t need to use them right then and there, but might need to in the future.  I have also been known to use the breakpoints kind of like bookmarks to certain points in code.  I did all this thinking that if the breakpoints were unchecked, it wouldn’t even be utilized.  Boy was I wrong.  Long story short… remove your breakpoints, active or not.

Sick Lately

by Jessica March 18, 2013

I am sorry for this long absence! The week before last, I was feeling a little bit under the weather but just couldn’t shake it. This last week, I really started feeling bad but couldn’t take any sick time due to the fact that one of my coworkers was out for spring break. I was doing her job and mine so couldn’t afford to take that time off. It was all I could do to finish all the work and get dinner ready before just laying around. Needless to say blogging was the last thing on my mind. I finally went to the doctor on Thursday and have a sinus infection. Now that I have drugs, I am much happier and will hopefully get back on the blogging bandwagon.
