Repotting Plants

by Jessica March 31, 2014

I have two house plants at the moment. I cannot say that I have a black thumb because my peace lily is a few years old now, and I haven’t killed it yet. Honestly, I am surprised I haven’t,but I’m not complaining since they are pretty hardy. It hasn’t died yet and has bloomed each year. I then branched out and got a Fiddleleaf Fig Tree Ficus that you see on all the blogs because they are just so pretty. I couldn’t find one ANYWHERE here. I called every nursery, home depot, and lowes to no avail, so I ended up buying it via Amazon.

Nashville Weekend

by Jessica March 27, 2014

A few weekends ago, we were invited to go to Nashville to see Kira and Andrew and also be able to see Simon and Sarah since they would be in town. We all had different plans of things we needed to do, but they all ended up falling through except my hair appointment.

I got to attend my first ever Ladies Retreat with our church. It was Friday night through Saturday around lunch time, and I thought it was wonderful. The planning was well done, they didn’t have us play endless get to know you games, had really good speakers, and the discussion groups were very well split up so you got to meet new people in all different age groups.

Going Paperless & Home Inventory

by Jessica March 12, 2014
We recently started two tasks that might seem crazy to some and are definitely very daunting when first starting. Whenever organizing, I feel like things have to get worse before they can get better. So anyway, we have decided to scan all of our papers that we are storing onto our server and off site back up so we can get rid of our paper copies. There are some things that we will keep, but they will be very few.

Update on Us

by Jessica March 11, 2014

Well it has been a while since we have posted, but everything has been so busy for us. As Grant so eloquently said, it snowed here. 🙂 We have had a much colder winter than last year which we have definitely noticed on our crazy high heating bills, but that is life, and I am just happy we have a place to live out of the elements. On January 24th, was my birthday, and I got more birthday wishes and gifts that I never expected, and it made me feel truly special and loved.
