Mia’s Birthday Party!

by gswarfield December 17, 2008
After Thanksgiving, We had all planned on having Mia’s Birthday Party. Sarina and Tanya made the cake, we bought our gifts, and the rest showed up. Mia had no clue what was happeneing!

You can kind of see the banner on the wall that says, “Happy Birthday.” throughout the day Wilson and Tanya were telling her happy birthday, and she just smiled. Tanya is bringing the cake, and she still is oblivious.

Tanya had to help Mia blow out the candle… she seemed nervose about it.

All of us excited about her hopefully blowing out the candle.
After the candle was blown out, and Mia was allowed to “dig in.”

This was right after Mia first tried the amazing Ice Cream cake that Tanya and Sarina made.
Another cute picture… to bad Ally is missing.
For a while she was a lot to just sit there and eat her cake, and I think she was happy.

Here you can see the gift from Marvin and Roki, a miniature cooking set including an apron that matches Tanya’s. So now Mia can truly help Tanya cook and bake!
Mia had such great expressions while opening the gifts, it was a lot of fun to watch, and she had us laughing most of the time.

This was Daniel and Sarina’s gift which were these cool water colors that were clear until they hit paper… needless to say, she figured it out.

Grant, Simon, and I gave Mia a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head set, and this is her figuring out how to add and subtract items. *The next morning we saw her trying to fit those yellow glasses on Ally*

Train Ride & Park

by gswarfield December 17, 2008
After Mia’s Birthday Party, Wilson and Tanya decided that we should take Mia on a train ride. This is a train that takes about a 2 mile drive(if I remember correctly) around a nice park in Austin. It is a safe, train that according to Mia needs to go faster. We had a lot of fun, and it was very inexpensive. While waiting for the Train, there was the whole park and play ground area to explore and to have fun in.

Here are Grant and Simon playing with the xylophone that they had there in the park.

Ally on the swing being happy.
All of us getting ready to leave for our upcoming adventure.

A nice picture of Grant and I that Roki took.
